About Crossplay in Payday 2
PAYDAY 2 supports crossplay between the Steam and Epic Games Store PC versions. The developer describes that connection as fully functioning cross-platform play between those two stores; it does not confirm crossplay with the console versions.
Let's break down cross-platform play in Payday 2 (Starbreeze), a shooter title available on 4 platforms: PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch. Its cross-platform play is limited — not every platform mixes, only certain combinations. The exact details are below. Since it launched in 2013, its cross-platform situation is well known. To get the most out of crossplay, make sure everyone has the game on the same version.
Note: This game has Partial (Steam-Epic Games Store) crossplay support.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can you play Payday 2 cross-platform?
Partially. Payday 2 supports crossplay only between some of its platforms, not all of them. Check the compatibility details on the page.
Where can I play Payday 2?
Payday 2 is available on PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch.
Can I play Payday 2 with friends on another console?
It depends on the platforms. Payday 2's crossplay is partial: some platform combinations connect and others don't. Check the details on the page before coordinating with friends.
Can crossplay be turned off in Payday 2?
In most crossplay games the option lives in the multiplayer or network settings. Turning it off restricts matchmaking to your own platform, which can mean longer queues. Check Payday 2's settings for the exact toggle.
