About Crossplay in Dead Island 2
Dead Island 2 does not offer general crossplay between console families or between PC and consoles. Its official support documents a compatibility option between the Steam and Epic Games Store PC versions, which is storefront compatibility inside the PC ecosystem rather than cross-platform play. The option can be enabled or disabled from the game menus, but it does not create a shared console pool.
Let's break down cross-platform play in Dead Island 2 (Deep Silver), a rpg title available on 5 platforms: PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S. For now it doesn't support cross-platform play, so you can only play online with people on your own system. Being a 2023 title, its compatibility may still evolve through updates.
